USA Ball Hockey Announces Fort Wayne as Host for First USWNT Evaluation Camp

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – USA Ball Hockey is excited to announce that tryouts for the U.S. Women’s National Team (USWNT) will be held in Fort Wayne, Indiana for the first time on July 10-11. The tryouts will determine player representatives for the United States at the ISBHF World Championships to be held in Canada in June 2022.

Fort Wayne, Ind. is set to host the USA Women’s Ball Hockey tryouts for the first time.

USWNT coaching and scouting staff will be in attendance throughout the camp to evaluate players. USWNT General Manager noted that the program is excited to be in Fort Wayne for the first time. “The community has been nothing less than fantastic. They have welcomed us with open arms and we can’t wait to get started,” said Terrana. “The Fort Wayne evaluation is the first step we will be taking to evaluate our players and we are excited to see the talent throughout the Midwest.”

Terrana also emphasized that the program is using Fort Wayne and the other evaluation sites as an opportunity to grow the game. “We are reaching out beyond our typical footprint to evaluate talent with players who may not have played organized ball hockey before. Ice hockey players make natural ball hockey players and we are hoping for a robust turnout.”

All players interested in trying out can register for the evaluation camp through our registration portal, which can be found here: https://usaballhockey.com/uswnt/. Same-day registrants will also be accepted. All players who register will also receive a USA Ball Hockey t-shirt, which they will wear at the camp and can take home.

USA Ball Hockey will also be holding two other evaluations for the USWNT in Irvine, California and Westborough, Massachusetts on July 24th and 25th.
