CLAYTON, Mo. – A new pickleball and padel sports complex is set to open in St. Louis, Mo.

As reported by local television station KSDK, the Padel + Pickleball Club will be 42,000 square feet and is set to welcome players in early December.

Padel is a racquet sport played on a court slightly smaller than a tennis doubles court. The ball and scoring are similar to tennis, but the ball is played off the walls similar to squash.

Kevin Maher Jr., the complex’s founder, says both sports are gaining in popularity, and appeal to a wide range of ages and ability levels.

According to the facility’s website, it will feature eight padel courts and eight pickleball courts. It is just minutes away from Clayton, Mo., which is in St. Louis County and borders the city of St. Louis.
