BORGER, Texas  –  828 Sports Ventures will be building one of the largest multisport complexes in Texas in the city of Borger, the Atlanta-based company recently announced. The proposed $100 million venue will be on an estimated 100 acres in Borger.

The massive BoomTown MultiDome Sports Complex will include many indoor courts and fields supporting up to 17 different sports, a family-style water park attraction, meeting spaces, an onsite hotel, and restaurants (a combination of national brands and local spots), as well as a sports institute and training education area. In addition, the complex will host high school and college graduations and various events for schools and companies in the Borger area, as well as training for regional first responders.

The BoomTown MultiDome Sports Complex is expected to create upwards of $75 million in annual economic impact on Borger and the surrounding area. 828 Sports Ventures predicts up to 1.2–1.5 million visitors to the complex at its peak performance.

The BoomTown MultiDome Sports Complex will have a unique geographic advantage and ability to connect millions of travel sports athletes and their families, all within a six-hour drivetime from not only Texas but also New Mexico, Colorado, Oklahoma, and Kansas and major markets like Dallas, Albuquerque, Oklahoma City, and Denver.

“On behalf of 828 Sports Ventures, we are thrilled to announce our plans to develop one of the nation’s premier sports destinations in the Borger community,” 828 Sports Ventures CEO DeAngelo Simmons says.

After numerous meetings with the City of Borger and its economic development corporation and spanning over six months, 828 Sports Ventures unveiled a comprehensive plan and execution strategy on the benefits and forecasted economic impact for the Borger community and the surrounding area.

“I am thrilled to welcome 828 Sports Ventures to the Borger community,” says Borger Mayor Karen Felker. “This $100 million investment in the BoomTown MultiDome Sports Complex not only promises to enhance our community’s recreational opportunities but also positions Borger as a premier destination for sports tourism, supporting our community vision of becoming the desired destination of the Panhandle.
