Baird Center

After a transformational $456 million expansion completed in May 2024, the newly expanded Baird Center is redefining what’s possible for volleyball events in the Midwest.
With 300,000 square feet of contiguous, court-ready space, Baird Center is purpose-built to host major tournaments at scale. The venue has already accommodated up to 54 volleyball courts under one roof, offering organizers unprecedented flexibility in a single, modern footprint. This configuration eliminates the need to split events across multiple sites and creates a seamless experience for athletes, coaches, referees and fans.
In its first year, Baird Center hosted nine weekends of volleyball tournaments, welcoming more than 120,000 athletes and spectators to downtown Milwaukee. These events demonstrated how the venue’s design supports efficient operations while enhancing the tournament experience from start to finish.

Border City Sportsplex
Laredo, Texas
Border City Sportsplex is a premier indoor athletic facility designed to meet the needs of athletes, spectators, and event organizers alike. The complex features four versatile courts, ideal for basketball, volleyball, and other indoor sports. Comfortable bleachers provide ample seating for fans, while on-site parking ensures convenient access for all visitors.

Community First Champion Center
Appleton, Wisconsin
Opened November 2019, the Community First Champion center is one of the premier indoor sports complexes in the country. The 164,000 square foot building offers up to 14 hardwood volleyball courts along with basketball courts and hockey rinks. Seating for all fans is in the court’s mezzanine area which is 14 feet above the playing surface. Additionally, ample floor space provides room for jump serves and team areas. The facility also features a full-service concessions stand, parent’s lounge, cafe, a golf simulator, a sports medicine center, 10 locker rooms, and paved parking for 750 vehicles.

Foley Event Center
Foley, Alabama
The Foley Sports Tourism Complex includes the 90,000+ sq. ft. Foley Event Center. Operated by Foley Sports Tourism, a department within the City of Foley, the Foley Event Center is your prime place for all things sports! This multi-use indoor facility offers ample space all types of sports, but volleyball is king! With 12 courts, drop down netting and sport court flooring it’s the perfect setup. Foley Event Center hosted 19 Volleyball events in 2024 with an estimated attendance of 57,000 and bringing in over 13,000 total room nights! Not to mention Foley Sports Tourism landed a 10 year contract with the Sun Belt Conference to host the women’s volleyball championship at the Foley Event Center.

Gulf Place Public Beach
Gulf Shores, Alabama
Gulf Place Public Beach is located in Gulf Shores, nestled along Alabama’s Beaches directly on the Gulf. This venue is home to the National Collegiate Beach Volleyball Championship, which is built from the sand up each year. Alabama’s Beaches Sports & Events hosts a number of other events at Gulf Place, including the AVCA Small College Beach Volleyball Championships, the Gulf Coast Region USA Volleyball Beach Fest National Qualifier and many more youth and adult tournaments.

Hazel & J.W. Ruby Community Center Sports Complex
Morgantown, West Virginia
The Hazel & J.W. Ruby Community Center Sports Complex has the capacity for five basketball courts, five volleyball courts, two indoor soccer/futsal footprints, or 12 pickleball courts. These spaces provide for instruction, open recreation, camps, leagues, and tournaments which attract local, regional, and national interest.

Henrico Sports & Events Center
Henrico, Virginia
The Henrico Sports & Events Center (HSEC) in Henrico County, Virginia, has quickly emerged as one of the premier volleyball venues in the country. This 185,000-square-foot complex is custom-built for high-caliber competition, offering 24 full-sized volleyball courts outfitted with ceiling-mounted, state-of-the-art equipment that allows for seamless court transitions and maximum use of space.
But it’s not just the size—it’s the scale of impact.
Over a recent 16-month span (Dec 2023–March 2025), the HSEC will have hosted 10 major volleyball tournaments, many drawing between 125 and 190 teams each, from across the country. That equates to more than 1,500 teams and tens of thousands of athletes, coaches, and spectators passing through the facility—solidifying the HSEC as a hub for regional and national volleyball events.
The facility also maintains a vibrant year-round volleyball presence through two local volleyball clubs, which use multiple courts on weekdays for practices and training, keeping the center full and active even outside of tournament weekends.
Beyond its 24 courts, HSEC features:

Hoover Met Complex
Hoover, Alabama
The Hoover Met Complex is located in Hoover, Alabama, a suburb of Birmingham. The Finley Center is a state-of-the-art 155,000 square foot sports complex and event venue. With 83,000 square feet of continuous space, the facility can transform to 16 volleyball courts competition space. The facility can host several thousands of spectators via seating and elevated track and offers three meeting rooms for tournament operations, an athletic training and sports rehabilitation performance center, and a food court overlooking the complex. The Hoover Met Complex has hosted numerous national volleyball tournaments and also the Alabama High School Athletic Association Region Volleyball Tournament which generates more than 20,000 visitors over three days.

Round Rock Sports Center: A Premier Sports Destination
Located in the Sports Capital of Texas, the Round Rock Sports Center is a top destination for youth sports events. Our 82,800 square-foot indoor facility features 47,775 square feet of playable space, including six high school basketball courts, 12 volleyball courts, and three NCAA-sized courts.
With bio-cushion maple hardwood floors, built-in tech access, and ceiling-mounted equipment, our courts are built for peak performance. An HD video wall, 12 LCD scoreboards, free Wi-Fi, and a full sound system enhance the tournament experience.

In 2024, WNBA’s Chicago Sky chose the Wintrust Sports Complex as the site for their new 40,000-square-foot practice facility. Construction has begun. It’ll be completed in time for the 2026 WNBA season.
