Ann Arbor Sports Commission unveils new logo and brand identity

ANN ARBOR, Mich.— The Ann Arbor Sports Commission announced the launch of its new logo and brand identity, highlighting the Commission’s growth, vision, and commitment to hosting sporting events that enrich the local community.

The Sports Commission has undertaken a restructuring. Through its redesign, it emphasizes the mission “to serve as a force for creating and hosting world-class sporting events that provide opportunities for athletes and make a positive impact in the community.” According to a press release from the Commission, its mission statement, “We play as a team,” highlights a collaborative spirit emphasizing teamwork and community engagement as foundational elements of the organization. This new identity aims to enhance partnerships, attract high-caliber events, and foster positive economic and social impact across the region.

“We’re excited to share our new logo and brand that showcases our commitment to elevating sports tourism and engaging with partners to deliver exceptional experiences,” says Meaghan Hughes, director of the Ann Arbor Sports Commission.

The Commission is set to host several events in the coming year, including the second annual Washtenaw County Celebration of Girls and Women in Sports conference in February 2025. It will also serve as the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) for marquee events such as the 2025 USRowing RowFest National Championships and the NAIA Cheer, Dance, and Golf Championships in partnership with Concordia University.
