TBT set to return to Wichita in July 2025

The Basketball Tournament (TBT) will return to Wichita this July, making the region the longest-running host since it started in 2019. This 64-team, $1 million winner-take-all event will be hosted by Wichita State University (WSU) and supported by WSU’s alumni squad, the AfterShocks.

Erie to host 2025 CCA Women’s D2 Tip-Off Classic

The Erie Sports Commission, in partnership with Gannon University and Edinboro Athletics, will host the 2025 CCA Women’s D2 Tip-Off Classic, presented by AHN Sports Medicine and AHN Pavilion.

WSSEA 2025 Spring State Championships coming to Lynnwood, Wash.

The WSSEA 2025 Spring State Championships will be on Sunday, May 18, at the Lynnwood Event Center in Lynnwood, Wash. Thirty-two high school teams with more than 160 students from all over Washington will compete in the finals for Rocket League, Smash Bros. Ultimate, and Valorant.

Three-time Paralympian KJ Polish returns to Foley

Three-time Paralympian KJ Polish will be back to compete in one of his favorite competitions of the year, the Archery Shooters Association’s (ASA) Hoyt/Easton Pro/Am, which is returning to Foley Feb. 20-23.

Erie Sports Commission honors event organizers at awards dinner

The Erie Sports Commission had its 10th annual Sports Tourism Awards Dinner, an event to recognize the efforts of those who had an impact on Erie County sports tourism, at the Erie Sheraton Bayfront Hotel on Feb. 5. More than 100 event rights holders, venue directors, elected officials, community leaders, and their guests, were in attendance.

Michigan to host 2025 World Ice Fishing Championship for first time

The West Michigan Sports Commission and USAngling are hosting the 2025 XXI World Ice Fishing Championship (WIFC) for the first time in Michigan from Feb. 11 to 16. The event will take place on Tamarack Lake in Lakeview, approximately 16 miles north of Greenville in West Michigan.

Registration now open for 9th annual Lake Erie Cyclefest

Registration for The Erie Sports Commission’s 2025 Lake Erie Cyclefest, sponsored by Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield and AHN Saint Vincent Hospital, begins Jan. 21. This year’s event will take place July 24-27 and features six rides over four days across Erie County. The proceeds will benefit nonprofit partner organizations.
