Hawaii
When it comes to choosing a destination for hosting a sporting event, there’s no setting as picture-perfect as Hawaii. Boasting warm temperatures, epic waves, lush terrain, and a picturesque landscape across six major islands, the Aloha State more than makes the cut for destination MVP. “With an ambiance that fosters aloha, attendees leave Hawaiʻi feeling refreshed, invigorated, and completely at ease,” says John Reyes, senior vice president and chief MCI sales officer at Hawai’i Visitors and Convention Bureau. “It’s a setting that inspires ideas, spurs innovation, and nurtures stronger working relationships and better teamwork. Few destinations have the kind of cultural authenticity that defines Hawaiʻi, and planners can easily incorporate hallmarks of Hawaiian culture and values into their programs.”
