Fort Bend County Epicenter to serve as home to Houston Volleyball Academy

ROSENBERG, TexasFort Bend County Epicenter, managed by the Sports Facilities Companies, has partnered with the Houston Volleyball Academy (HVA) to be the organization’s official home training and practice facility.

Opening in August, The Epicenter will host weekly training sessions in its multi-purpose area, equipped with four volleyball courts, in preparation for HVA’s upcoming volleyball tournament. This major event will draw more than 80 regional teams on 12 courts to the Epicenter on Jan. 6 and Jan. 7, 2024.

“HVA is thrilled to bring our brand of volleyball to the Epicenter and provide high-level volleyball training and competition to this first-class facility in Fort Bend County,” says Sean Carter, HVA’s club director.

HVA is one of the top volleyball clubs in Texas with a 30-year history, boasting boys’ and girls’ volleyball programs for ages 7 to 18. The academy’s youth volleyball program will train year-round, while the club programs will run from November through June of each season.

“The Epicenter is focused on bringing top-notch sports and entertainment events to Fort Bend County. Our partnership with HVA will positively impact the community locally, while their tournaments will bring teams from across the region to compete at our new facility,” says Toby Wyman, general manager of the Epicenter.

At 230,000 square feet, the Epicenter, located in Rosenberg, Texas, is a multi-purpose sports and entertainment facility.  The arena boasts more than 8,600 fixed seats, with a capacity of 10,000.  The venue features a multi-purpose area and a covered outdoor pavilion and can host basketball and volleyball tournaments, concerts, family entertainment, and livestock shows.
