Greater Lansing to host several regional sports events this month

Several sports events will take place in Lansing, Michigan, this month, bringing in thousands of athletes and spectators nationwide.

LANSING, Mich.—Several sports events will bring more than 9,000 athletes and thousands more coaches, families, and spectators to the Lansing area in September. The Lansing Sports Commission will host the Capital City River Run, Skate Wars, and more.

“We’re excited to welcome thousands of athletes to Greater Lansing this month,” says Meghan Ziehmer, executive director for the Lansing Sports Commission. “Events like these fuel our local economy and support local hotels, restaurants, and venues. It’s a true team effort, and we are grateful for our partners and volunteers who make it all possible.”
