SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The Indiana Invaders Sports Complex is set to undergo a large expansion.

The facility, which is already home to nine multi-use grass fields, is expected to add another four fields during the project.

Fields at the complex can be lined for several sports—it has hosted soccer, lacrosse, flag football, and quad ball, among others, in recent years. It also has one field with lights, a scoreboard, and a press box for championships.

The complex was first established in 1999 to provide the South Bend area with a fully accessible facility and state-of-the-art fields. The complex now exclusively focuses on renting to outside organizations.

In addition to its fields, the complex offers 1,100+ parking spaces, spectator bleachers, and a 50,000-square-foot warehouse that is home to Elite Sports Academy, a local gymnastics organization.

According to a Facebook post on the complex’s profile, the expansion is expected to wrap up in 2024.
