
BATON ROUGE, La. – Jason Suitt was recently named the new director of sports development for Visit Baton Rouge.
Suitt brings 21 years of experience in college athletics with marketing, promotions, advertising, sponsorship sales/activation, graphics and licensing, and event production skills to the Visit Baton Rouge team. He will be responsible for identifying, developing, and executing an overall strategy for sports tourism in the city.
Suitt spent the last two years leading the sports marketing program at the national multi-unit restaurant group Walk-Ons Sports Bistreaux, where he served as the director of sports marketing and strategic partnerships. Before that, he worked as the assistant athletic director of fan engagement at Louisiana State University Athletics and the director of marketing and licensing at the University of Arkansas Athletics.
Suitt is a graduate of the University of South Carolina, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in sports administration degree.
