MILWAUKEE, Wisc. – MFC Sports Complex, a new 10,000-square-foot indoor practice facility, will soon open in Glendale, Wisc., just outside of Milwaukee.
As reported by the Milwaukee Sentinel-Journal, the building will serve primarily as a training facility for soccer training company Nex-Gen Performance. However, the article states the facility is also offering longer-term leases for teams and leagues hoping to hold practices for sports such as soccer, lacrosse, football, and cheerleading. Leases may also be available to schools, camps, and recreation departments.
According to the article, the co-owner of the MFC Sports Complex, Roy Henning, began looking into developing the facility after In-Bounds, a local facility he had used before was closed in April 2023.
Henning told the Sentinel-Journal there is a “significant”’ number of teams and leagues in the area, but “very few” practice facilities. When the idea of building a facility was put into his mind, Henning decided to convert a warehouse, formerly used for a car engine-building business he owns, into a practice facility.
