GULF SHORES AND ORANGE BEACH, Ala. – The 2021 NCAA Beach Volleyball Championship will be back at Gulf Place in Gulf Shores, Ala., May 7-9, airing live on ESPN.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, public ticket sales and media will not be allowed on site for the championship. Due to the site size, the need for physical distancing and NCAA’s COVID-19 protocols, only participating teams will be allowed ticket access.
“We, along with the city of Gulf Shores and the University of Alabama at Birmingham, are in full agreement with the NCAA to limit the number of people on site for the 2021 championship to protect student-athletes,” said Beth Gendler, CEO for Gulf Shores & Orange Beach Tourism and Gulf Shores | Orange Beach Sports & Events. “We look forward to and remain hopeful for welcoming fans back in 2022 for another exciting beach volleyball championship.”
The tournament wraps up with the championship match taking place Sunday, May 9, at 12:30 p.m. CDT.
