McKINNEY, Texas—The NCAA Division II Football Championship returns to McKinney this weekend, with Ferris State and Harding set to meet Saturday at McKinney ISD Stadium.

The title game, scheduled for Dec. 20, brings two of the nation’s top Division II programs to North Texas for a high-stakes showdown. McKinney has previously hosted multiple Division II championship games and has built a reputation as a regular site for postseason college football.

Since its establishment in 1973, the Division II Football Championship has highlighted athletic and academic excellence outside of Division I, drawing teams, fans, and media from across the country.

The matchup is expected to draw thousands of visitors, including students, athletes, coaches, and supporters, creating a championship atmosphere throughout the region.

Championship weekend activities will begin Friday with a Fan Fest at TUPPS Brewery, starting at 6 p.m. The event will include food and drinks, appearances by the teams’ bands and cheer squads, and opportunities for fans to gather ahead of the game.
