Snohomish County Sports Commission promotes Nathan Caferro to sports events manager

SNOHOMISH COUNTY, Wash.—Nathan Caferro has been appointed to sports events manager at the Snohomish County Sports Commission. His new role includes assisting with annual sporting events and starting an Equipment Donation Program.

Caferro’s experience with the organization started in June 2022, when he began working as the sports events coordinator. He helped create partnerships and improve athlete/spectator experiences for sporting events in the county. In April 2023, he was named Sports ETA Rising Star.

Caferro’s work with the 2024 USA Softball Class B Western Nationals helped Seattle Metro JO attain the James Farrell Award of Excellence in recognition of hosting three USA Softball National Championships in 2024. Snohomish United Bigfoot Soccer Tournament was awarded the Champion of Economic Impact presented by Sports Destination Management in 2022 and 2024. He has also worked on Snohomish Youth Soccer Club’s youth soccer tournament for the last three years.

“Nathan’s leadership and commitment to providing excellent event services has helped us to expand our work with the local sports organizations and build better partnerships within the communities,” says Tammy Dunn, Snohomish County Sports Commission executive director. “Hosting the Seattle Handball Cup for the first time in March 2025 is one example of Nathan’s ability to elevate sporting events Snohomish County hosts”.
