For the first time ever, a USA Judo National Championship is coming to Kansas. Visit Wichita announced that the city will host the 2026 USA Judo Youth Nationals at the Century II Convention Center’s Bob Brown Expo Hall from March 14–15, 2026, with weigh-ins scheduled for March 13.

For the first time in tournament history, the US Youth Soccer National Presidents Cup will be hosted by the same city for three consecutive years, with Wichita securing the event for 2026, 2027, and 2028.

Visit Wichita recently added a new member to its sports team. Chris Spall is the team’s new sports sales manager, responsible for developing relationships with local, regional, and national sports stakeholders to bring more sports events to the state.

The Basketball Tournament (TBT) will return to Wichita this July, making the region the longest-running host since it started in 2019. This 64-team, $1 million winner-take-all event will be hosted by Wichita State University (WSU) and supported by WSU’s alumni squad, the AfterShocks.
