WICHITA, Ks. – Tickets are now on sale for the 2024 U.S. Figure Skating Midwestern Synchronized Skating Sectional Championship.

The event is being hosted by Visit Wichita and the Wichita Figure Skating Club in Wichita, Ks., from Jan. 24 to 27 at INTRUST Bank Arena. The event will be open to the public from Jan. 25 to Jan. 27.

All championship performances will be conducted at INTRUST Bank Arena and practices will take place at the Wichita Ice Center. This is Visit Wichita’s fourth time to host a U.S. Figure Skating event.

“It is such an incredible opportunity to once again host this U.S. Figure Skating competition in Wichita,” says Josh Howell, vice president of sports development for Visit Wichita. “We want to encourage the community to get tickets to this great event and experience the unique sport of synchronized skating.”

The competition will attract more than 100 teams, 1,000 athletes, and 200+ coaches and team personnel to Wichita. In total, Visit Wichita estimates the event will generate more than $2.5 million in local economic impact.

Teams consist of eight to 20 skaters performing a program together, executing various formations including lines, circles, wheels, and intersections. It uses the same judging system as singles, pairs, and ice dance but is characterized by teamwork, speed, intricate formations, and challenging step sequences. Those competing will range in age from 7 to 70 years old.

Qualifying teams from the Eastern, Midwestern, and Pacific Coast sectional championships will earn a berth in the 2024 U.S. Synchronized Skating Championships, taking place in Las Vegas, Nev., in February.

Adult single-session tickets start at $25 and adult all-session passes, which provide access to all days of competition, start at $40. Tickets can be purchased online at selectaseat.com, by phone at 855-755-SEAT (7328), or in person at the box office at INTRUST Bank Arena.
