SNOHOMISH COUNTY, Wash.—Approximately 150 radio-controlled car drivers from Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington, and Alaska are expected to compete in the ROAR Region 11 Qualifier at DieHard RC Family Park in Snohomish County, Washington, from Aug. 28-30, 2026.
The event will give competitors an opportunity to qualify for the 2027 1/8 Offroad Nationals.
Qualifying classes include 1/8 Scale Electric Truggy, 1/8 Electric Buggy, 1/8 Scale Nitro Buggy, 1/8 Scale Nitro Truggy, 40+ Nitro Buggy, 40+ Electric Buggy, Sportsman Nitro Buggy, Sportsman E Buggy, 1/10 4×4 SCT, and Novice.
“Hosting the 2026 ROAR Region 11 Championships is an opportunity to showcase not only our facility but also the incredible RC community we’ve built together,” says DieHard RC owners Brett and Brenda Wilson. “Our volunteers, sponsors, racers, and families have made DieHard Family RC Park what it is today, and we’re excited to welcome everyone for a championship weekend that reflects the passion and spirit of the Pacific Northwest.”
The competition is sanctioned by ROAR, or Remotely Operated Auto Racers, a national nonprofit organization that promotes radio-controlled model car racing. Founded in 1967, ROAR includes 12 regions in the United States and Canada.
“To host the ROAR Region 11 Qualifier is a great win for DieHard RC as it spotlights the fun and excitement of off-road radio-controlled cars as a sport,” says Snohomish County Sports Commission executive director Tammy Dunn. “DieHard RC Family Park is a first-class venue, and we look forward to welcoming the RC drivers to Snohomish County.”
DieHard RC Family Park is designed to serve racers of varying ages and experience levels, while also offering a family-oriented event environment.
