ERIE, Pa: — Erie-based Archery Encounters will host the Blizzard Bi-Archelon on Jan. 25 at Erie Premier Sports Pennbriar, the first USA Archery sanctioned event hosted by Archery Encounters.
Participants will compete in two formats to determine a winner: Indoor Target and 3D. Participants must be members of USA Archery in order to compete, and can register for membership on-site. Competitors will shoot both formats, with scores combined to determine winners. Entrants may shoot one of the formats for qualification purposes only.
Divisions offered will include barebow, recurve, compound, para (including visually impaired, W1, compound open and recurve open) and collegiate bowhunter. A variety of classes will be offered for all ages.
“I would love to see Erie become a premier competitive archery destination capable of hosting international archery competitions,” said Tim Case, owner of Archery Encounters, LLC. “I see this tournament as the first step in achieving that goal.”
Registration is $40 for USA Archery members and is currently open at usarchery.org.
