Butler County to Host Can-Am Police-Fire Games in 2024

BUTLER COUNTY, Pa. – The Can-Am Police-Fire Games will be held in Butler County, July 15-21 in 2024, at a variety of venues throughout the area.

Can-Am Police-Fire Games is a multi-sport, Olympic-style event that features the skills used by first responders in their everyday work.

Competitors from fire and police departments, emergency medical service providers, Homeland Security, Border Patrol, corrections officers and more, are expected to take part in the Games. 

About 1,000 participants from the Mid-Atlantic, Midwest and Canada will be showing off their skills during the competition. 

Several different events will be taking place over the week, including cross-country races, cycling, ultimate Frisbee, ice hockey, powerlifting and archery. Contestants and spectators will be staying in Butler County for the duration of the event, which will have a significant economic impact for the area. 

“We’re looking forward to providing the athletes with an exceptional experience by showcasing the county’s unique venues and attractions,” said Jack Cohen, president of the Butler County Tourism & Convention Bureau.
