Park City, UT. – USA Nordic has hired Casey Mills as its new partnership marketing director, a newly developed position by the organization.
A Utah local, Mills graduated from Utah Valley University, majoring in public relations and communications. Prior to his hiring with USA Nordic, Mills’ background included experience in professional sports, as well as snow sports.
For the past five years prior to USA Nordic, Mills worked with MLS soccer team Real Salt Lake in the partnership marketing space. With Real Salt Lake, Mills obtained first-hand experience in sponsorship agreements and activations through working with everything from social media, signage, advertisements, player relations with sponsors, and much more.
Mills has also had an extensive career in the snow sports industry over the past 16 years, coaching snowboarding at every level, along with a stint competing in the sport as well. From coaching those who have never snowboarded before, to coaching Paralympic gold medalists, Mills has made a very positive impact on everyone he has had the opportunity to coach.
“This is a great opportunity to build the partnership marketing aspect of this organization because there hasn’t been anyone in this position before at USA Nordic. So, I’m going to be able to lay the foundation and build it for what I envision it to be,” said Mills. “My main goal is to make sure all of our partners are meeting their goals, and our athletes are meeting their goals because of what our partners are providing. I am hoping more partners will want to join us in our journey to the Olympics, and our current partners will want to continue with us through this journey as long as possible.”
Mills’ role with USA Nordic will continue taking the organization to the next level, developing strategic partnerships to help the organization’s athletes achieve their goals of Olympic glory. USA Nordic’s partners are incredibly critical in ensuring the organization has the equipment, training, and nutrition it needs to be successful.
