Four Cities Named Finalists for New IRONMAN Triathlon

IRONMAN announced four finalists as potential hosts of the new IRONMAN triathlon in 2020: Des Moines, Iowa; Fayetteville, Ark.; Memphis, Tenn.; and Tulsa, Okla. The new event will be the first new, full-distance IRONMAN triathlon in the U.S. since 2014. IRONMAN representatives are visiting the four cities and the organization is expected to announce the new host city by mid-June.

Major Sports Tourism Weekend Ahead for Erie with a Projected Economic Impact of $5 Million

Erie is set for a big weekend for sports tourism beginning Saturday, with the 80th Annual PA USBC Open Championships bowling tournament and Champion Cheer Central’s Champions Weekend both kicking off. Together, they are expected to have an economic impact of nearly $5 million over the course of their events. The PA USBC Open Championships runs through June
