Hot Rod Power Tour coming to Martinsville – Henry County, VA this Sunday

Martinsville – (June 4, 2019) VisitMartinsville and Martinsville Speedway are excited to announce they will be hosting the 2019 Hot Rod Power Tour on Sunday, June 9, 2019. The Power Tour is a 7-day, 7-city road trip through the highways and byways of America, with thousands of car fanatics visiting this nation’s small towns as they wind through a 1,000-plus-mile route with thousands of hot rods, customs, street machines, muscle cars and more! 

The 25th annual Hot Rod Power Tour will be even more exciting in 2019 with exciting new features for auto enthusiasts worldwide. The highly anticipated seven-day, seven-city journey is expected to bring together more than 6,000 vehicles and 100,000-plus spectators throughout the course of the week, making this event the largest traveling car-show in the world! 

The 2019 event will take place from Saturday, June 8 – Friday June 14, 2019 with the tour in Martinsville on Sunday, June 9th at the Martinsville Speedway.

June 12 – Lucas Oil Raceway – Indianapolis, IN

June 13 – Allen County War Memorial Coliseum – Fort Wayne, IN *first time venue

June 14 – Summit Motorsports Park – Norwalk, OH

The Martinsville event will take place this Sunday from 12:00 noon to 7:00 p.m. at the Martinsville Speedway and offers free admission to spectators. For those interested in entering their car, the cost for the single day is $50 + processing fee for onsite registration. Registration will be held at the Smith River Sports Complex located at 1000 Irisburg Road, Axton, VA 24054 and will start at 11:30 a.m. Car enthusiasts are encouraged to come hang out with the largest road trip in the world for a day.

Events throughout the day include live music from Jukebox Revolver on the FiTech Main Stage, COMP Cams Dyno Challenge, Sponsor Shootout at Dyno, an appearance by Lucky Costa of Hot Rod Garage and more.
