Houston Launches Houston Clean Campaign

HOUSTON — The Houston Venues & Events Task Force and the hospitality and transportation industries are preparing to safely reopen and have joined together to form Houston Clean, a program to help guests easily identify safety measures to protect patrons and associates.

The initiative unifies the individual efforts of businesses to present consistent operating guidelines to visitors with safety protocols.

“The Houston Clean initiative marks a significant step in addressing safety concerns related to the COVID-19 crisis,” said Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner. “The community-wide effort from our greater hospitality industry partners is a long-term commitment not to ‘return to business as usual’, but instead to bring forth a more resilient community.”

Harris County – Houston Sports Authority CEO Janis Burke said, “It’s been a huge collaboration and wider than just sports. We’re so proud to be a part of it. Public safety is at the forefront of everyone’s minds today. We’ve been working hard behind the scenes so when the day comes that we can return to sports events, conventions and other large gatherings, we will be ready.”

If a business is identified with the Houston Clean logo, it means the business has taken the pledge to the safety and well-being of their visitors, workforce and community.
