CLEARWATER, Fla.—
The Sports Facilities Companies (SFC), which manages and developed sports, recreation, wellness, and events facilities, is expected to open and break ground on 12 facilities in 2025.

Here is the list of facility openings this year:

  • WYO Sports Ranch in Casper, Wyo., is a sports complex that opened in January. (Casper, Wyo.): This premier sports complex, which opened in January, boasts cutting-edge technology to engage youth and amateur athletes throughout the Rocky Mountain and Big Sky region.
  • Kentucky Sports Factory in Madisonville, Ky., soft-opened in January, and the grand opening is set for March. The multipurpose sports complex serves as a hub for multi-use activities, including local programs, tournaments, and community activities.
  • Woodman’s Center in Janesville, Wis., with ice arenas and community spaces, is scheduled to open in fall 2025.
  • Burlington Pickleball in Burlington, N.C., caters to the thriving pickleball community, with courts and amenities for recreational play and high-level competition.
  • Davis Center, Central Park in New York City, offers new and enhanced outdoor activities and unhindered access at the north end of Central Park’s Harlem Meer. After a full renovation, the ice-skating rink, swimming pool, green roof, and park amenities will reopen in 2025.
  • The first phase of Crossroads Sports Complex, Phase 1 in New Lenox, Ill., opening this year, will feature the largest collection of multipurpose synthetic turf outdoor fields for tournaments and local events in the Midwest.
  • Cyclone Ballparks Expansion in Pecos, Tex., will build out additional fields, enhancing the popular facility with additional features.
  • SCHEELS Sports Park at Legacy Pointe (Springfield, Ill.) features a 170,000-square-foot indoor dome and championship field with stadium-style seating. It will host tournaments for 60 to 100 teams on weekends year-round.
  • The Paducah Sports Park facility in Paducah, Ky., will transform the historic Bluegrass Downs and Stuart Nelson Park with five high school baseball diamonds, 20 youth/fastpitch diamonds, and 10 multi-sport fields.

SFC is also breaking ground on three other facilities this year:

  • Destination Kings Park in Kings Park, N.Y., will combine youth sports, recreation, and retail opportunities for Long Island and the surrounding region.
  • City of Muscle Shoals Complex in Muscle Shoals, Ala. is a $65 million sports and entertainment complex designed to boost tourism and local business while serving the locals.
  • Boyd County Sports Complex in Boyd County, Ky., will include a sports complex and convention center. As part of a larger mixed-use entertainment district, the complex is expected to attract regional events and drive economic impact.
