The global IRONMAN triathlon series is expanding its footprint in Florida with a new full-distance race set to take place in Jacksonville next spring, race organizers announced Wednesday.

IRONMAN will host the new IRONMAN® 70.3® Dallas-Little Elm triathlon in 2026. The new event is scheduled to make its debut on Sunday, March 15, 2026, beginning at Little Elm Park and traversing through the town of Little Elm and the North Texas countryside.

MAPLE VALLEY, Wash. -- The IRONMAN Group has announced that Maple Valley, Wash., will host its first IRONMAN® 70.3® Triathlon Series on Sept. 20, 2020.

IRONMAN announced four finalists as potential hosts of the new IRONMAN triathlon in 2020: Des Moines, Iowa; Fayetteville, Ark.; Memphis, Tenn.; and Tulsa, Okla. The new event will be the first new, full-distance IRONMAN triathlon in the U.S. since 2014. IRONMAN representatives are visiting the four cities and the organization is expected to announce the new host city by mid-June.
