DALLAS—Fans across North Texas will have the chance to watch some of the sport’s top competitors at the Veolia Texas Open pickleball tournament scheduled for March 9–15 at The Courts of McKinney in McKinney, Texas.
The weeklong event is part of the Carvana PPA Tour and will feature many of the sport’s top players competing for some of the largest prize purses in professional pickleball. Fans attending the tournament can also expect sponsor activations, shopping opportunities, and local food vendors.
Among the competitors is Anna Leigh Waters, a Nike athlete and the sport’s most decorated player, who currently holds the women’s world No. 1 ranking. She will compete alongside other leading players, including multi-time champion Ben Johns and men’s world No. 1 Hunter Johnson.
The tournament field also includes Eugenie Bouchard, a former Wimbledon Championships finalist, as well as local players Blaine Hovenier and Michael Loyd.
“North Texas is the home of professional pickleball in the United States, and we are proud to return our spring tournament, the Veolia Texas Open, to The Courts of McKinney,” says Connor Pardoe, founder and CEO of the Carvana PPA Tour. “Fans in the Metroplex and beyond are invited to come out and witness the best of the best in America’s fastest-growing sport put on an unmatched display of pickleball excellence.”
