DALLAS — J.D. Wood returned to Dallas in February to join the Dallas Sports Commission (DSC) as the director of business development and events.
Wood was previously the general manager of the Panama City Beach (Fla.) Sports Complex/Sports Facility Management and was responsible for the business development of the complex. He also previously served as sports sales and event manager with the DSC from 2012 to 2013.
Wood received bachelor’s and master’s degrees in sport management from Texas A&M University and has worked with the City of College Station, the National Senior Games and Texas A&M Athletics, the Games of Texas, the NBA All-Star Game, the Dallas Cup, the Cotton Bowl Classic and the NFL Super Bowl. Wood also serves on the board of Sports ETA.
