KALAMAZOO, Mich.—The 2024 Teenage CrossFit Games will take place in Kalamazoo, Michigan, from August 28 to September 1. More than 270 athletes from 29 different countries will participate in the week-long competition.
This is Kalamazoo’s first international sporting event. The 2024 Teenage CrossFit Games will be held in two separate venues, starting at the Wings Event Center in Kalamazoo, known for hosting large-scale events. The next phase of the games will then move to The Pit Fitness Ranch. The open-air venue provides the ideal setting for outdoor challenges with natural and artificial obstacles, testing the athletes’ endurance and adaptability in more rugged surroundings.
The challenging competitions will feature intense workouts and obstacle courses to test the players’ strength, speed, agility, and stamina. Spectators will get a chance to witness incredible athletic feats that require players to demonstrate their physical strength, strategic thinking, and mental acuity.
“Pit Day” is one of the key events at the Teenage CrossFit Games. It immerses athletes in challenging and memorable experiences. The competition takes place at The Pit Fitness Ranch, where the rugged landscape tests the players’ adaptability and endurance beyond what indoor events can offer. They will come across several outdoor obstacles like wood, water, sand, and slag, testing their physical and mental limits.
Hosting the Teenage CrossFit Games is a significant milestone for Kalamazoo. This is the first time the city welcomes and accommodates a diverse set of young athletes from around the globe, shedding the spotlight on its influences in the international community as a fitness and sports community.
Players will arrive from countries like Australia, South Africa, Iceland, Argentina, and many other lands to compete in a multicultural sporting event that celebrates athletic excellence and international unity.
