ERIE, Pa.—Some of the top collegiate runners in Pennsylvania will converge on PennWest Edinboro this Saturday for the 2025 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Cross Country Championships.
The women’s 6,000-meter race begins at 10 a.m., followed by the men’s 8,000-meter race at 11 a.m. An awards ceremony will take place at noon on the course grounds.
Nearly 400 student-athletes representing 17 PSAC universities will compete, with each team fielding up to 12 runners. The event continues Edinboro’s long tradition of hosting elite cross-country competition at its Doug Watts Cross Country Course. The women’s 6k course record was set in 2021 by runner Kylie Anicic with a time of 21:49.2. Meanwhile, the record for the men’s 8k was set in 2024 by Clay Peets with a time of 25:01.0.
“We’re proud to welcome the PSAC Cross Country Championships to Edinboro,” says Jamison Dietrich, director of cross country and track & field at PennWest Edinboro. “This event showcases some of the best collegiate runners in the state and reflects the university’s strong tradition of supporting and showcasing athletic excellence.”
The PSAC Championships are among the most competitive cross-country meets in NCAA Division II, drawing some of the region’s top distance runners and offering athletes the opportunity to represent their universities on a championship stage.
