HARRISBURG, Pa.—Visit Hershey & Harrisburg has named Danielle Vincenti as the new executive director of the Hershey Harrisburg Sports & Events Authority (HHSE). In her role, Vincenti will lead the region’s efforts to attract, develop, and grow sporting events and special events that generate overnight stays, visitor spending, and economic impact throughout Dauphin County.
Vincenti joined HHSE in 2022 as director of business development, where she led event recruitment and development initiatives, cultivated relationships with event organizers and industry partners, and identified opportunities to expand the region’s sports tourism portfolio. Her promotion comes as the destination continues to pursue growth in the competitive sports tourism market.
“Danielle’s tenacity and passion for bringing new events to the region, elevating relationships with current sports and events partners, and connecting regional stakeholders are qualities that deliver a positive impact to our region every day,” says Sharon S. Myers, president and CEO of Visit Hershey & Harrisburg. “Her experience, industry relationships, and commitment to our destination will be instrumental as we continue to grow our sports and events business.”
Vincenti has more than 16 years of experience in sports tourism, destination marketing, and event development. She also serves as chair of PA Sports, a statewide alliance of sports commissions and destination organizations working to advance sports tourism throughout Pennsylvania. Through that role, she collaborates with destinations and industry leaders on advocacy, marketing opportunities, and initiatives focused on the state’s sports tourism industry.
“I’m honored to represent the Hershey Harrisburg Region and lead our sports & events division that has both a strong foundation and tremendous opportunity for continued growth,” says Vincenti. “I look forward to building on the relationships and momentum already in place, expanding our portfolio of sporting events and special events, and working alongside our industry partners to bring new opportunities to the destination.”
In her new position, Vincenti will focus on strengthening relationships with event rights holders, sports organizations, facilities, and community partners. She will also pursue events that align with the region’s sports venues, hospitality infrastructure, and other destination assets.
HHSE works year-round to attract tournaments and events across a range of sports, age groups, and interests, connecting organizers with local resources and partnerships to support successful events.
The Hershey Harrisburg Region is located in south-central Pennsylvania, with sports facilities, hotels, and destination attractions, and access to population centers throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic.
HHSE is a division of Visit Hershey & Harrisburg, the nonprofit destination marketing organization for Dauphin County. The authority promotes sports tourism and events initiatives, develops partnerships with event clients and local stakeholders, supports locally produced events, and works to drive economic development through sports and events tourism.
