CORALVILLE, Iowa – Progress on Xtream Arena and the GreenState Family Fieldhouse in Coralville, Iowa, is still on schedule.
It was also announced that the Iowa Gym-Nest will host 800 athletes for the Winter Wonderland competition in the fieldhouse on February 19–21, 2021 and All Iowa Attack Basketball is also set to call GreenState Family Fieldhouse its second home when the facility opens this fall.
The Xtream Arena powered by Mediacom is expected to be complete this fall and will have 5,200 fixed seats (6,600 concert capacity) and the GreenState Family Fieldhouse will serve as an accessible venue for concerts, shows and special events. The arena will host the University of Iowa Volleyball and a yet-to-be-determined minor league hockey tenant.
The arena is directly connected to the 53,000-square-foot court fieldhouse and will be able to host both amateur and professional sporting events. The fieldhouse will offer five hardwood courts.
The arena and fieldhouse are part of a larger project called the Iowa River Landing, which will provide dining, entertainment, shopping, and conference space in the 185-acre site.
