1st – Cedar Point Sports Center – Sandusky, Ohio

According to Wes Hall, Cedar Point Sports Center represents the best in sports tourism and local community impact, general manager of the 200,000-square-foot indoor sports, recreation and entertainment destination.

With 145,000 square feet of indoor field space for court sports, a championship arena that seats 750 people, an indoor walking track, a café area, party and event rooms and a family entertainment area with a ninja warrior course and climbing walls, the center attracts people of all ages.

The facility offers year-round local programming for youth and adult sports leagues, sports camps, ninja warrior camps, and youth programs when school is out. Summer camps and after-school camps are also available.

“While there are many local components to the destination, the large court sports space, which includes 10 basketball courts or 20 volleyball courts, provides uninterrupted space for regional national and international events and competitions,” Hall said.

The Sandusky, Ohio location also offers access and ticketing to Cedar Point Amusement Park to allow families to extend the tournament to a family fun time.

“Cedar Point Sports Center, the Midwest’s premier indoor sports and events venue, is an exciting tournament destination located at the ‘Roller Coaster Capital of the World’ in North-central Ohio,” Hall said. “Families won’t forget their “tourna-cation” experience playing in the state-of-the-art center and experiencing the thrills of Cedar Point Amusement Park.”
