MINNEAPOLIS — The largest intercollegiate volleyball tournament in the world will come to Minneapolis next year in April, according to Sports Minneapolis.
The 2021 National Collegiate Volleyball Federation (NCVF) Championships will be held at the Minneapolis Convention Center on April 1-3, 2021. The men’s and women’s tournaments will feature 500 college club volleyball teams and more than 6,500 student-athletes from across the nation.
A new turf field facility is set to open in August in Maple Grove in the Minneapolis Northwest Tourism area (Brooklyn Center, Brooklyn Park and Maple Grove), about 20 minutes from downtown Minneapolis. The $12 million recreation facility is designed for youth soccer, lacrosse or football tournaments and is in a convenient location for sports organizers, according to Minneapolis Northwest Tourism.
