What Lies Ahead in 2023

If you thought you knew SportsEvents already, just ask us that again at the end of 2023.

For starters, on behalf of all the team, thank you for being a part of what we do. Now, we know that each of us frequently state in person and online how thankful we are for you, but that does not mean it is not special. Simply put, we are a bunch of “softies” with a passion for the industry.

This year with SportsEvents, you have seen us try a variety of things from virtual events to double issues regarding the Readers’ Choice Awards. Next year will be no different.

Our industry is constantly changing, and it is important to us that we keep up with the latest trends. While we do not want to give too much away, we can assure you that brand new features and content are quickly on their way.

Regarding the 2023 Editorial Calendar, I spoke with several of you at the S.P.O.R.T.S. Conference in Savannah about potential placements. We believe that the best way of sharing information on the industry is by hearing it from the people directly involved. If you see a topic in the main theme, game plan, special report, or sports report categories that fits your organization or event, please let us know and we will go ahead and get you scheduled for an interview.

It is important to us that everyone have a fair an equal chance at having their voices broadcasted across the magazine as well as online. If you are interviewed, not only is it free—a main perk of editorial—your article will be posted online to our website and to our LinkedIn and Facebook accounts.

Regarding social media accounts, it is our goal to be as active as we possibly can. If you post something and want us to see it, tag us and we will. We thoroughly enjoy seeing everything you, your organization, and your events are up to.

On the subject of social media, did you know that the SportsEvents bi-monthly newsletter has a readership percentage higher than the national tourism average? Our newsletters are personal, quick to look at, and consistent. You can always expect to see a newsletter before noon on the second and fourth Wednesday of every month.

In terms of sales, you can expect to see sales close normally exactly a month before the issue releases to the public.

Of course, we cannot discuss SportsEvents without mentioning our annual S.P.O.R.T.S. Conference.

Our conference in 2023 will be held in the beautiful South Bend, Ind., on the campus at Notre Dame University Sept. 11-14. Even though we do not have the full agenda perfected yet, our events team can confidently say that this conference will be one to remember.

We are so happy that you all are joining us for this ride. We are so thankful for you and love that you continuously choose SportsEvents to share your information.
