Clearwater, Fla.—The Sports Facilities Companies has named Amanda Shank as a partner and executive vice president, bringing aboard a sports business executive with experience in youth sports development and professional sports marketing.
Shank joins the company after more than nine years with Unrivaled Sports and its portfolio company, Ripken Baseball. Most recently, she served as executive vice president of strategic initiatives at Unrivaled Sports, which was founded in 2024 by Josh Harris and David Blitzer.
Her appointment comes as The Sports Facilities Companies continues expanding its work in sports, recreation, wellness, and event venue development and management. The company provides planning, feasibility, development, and management services for community leaders and developers. According to the company, it manages more than 100 venues with approximately 5,000 employees, nearly 30 million annual guest visits, and almost $1 billion in annual economic impact.
During her tenure at Ripken Baseball, Shank helped oversee growth initiatives across the organization’s youth sports business, including expansion strategy, venue development, strategic partnerships, new business ventures, and revenue generation outside of on-field operations. She later moved into executive leadership positions at Unrivaled Sports following Ripken Baseball’s merger with Cooperstown All Star Village.
Before joining Ripken Baseball, Shank spent more than 11 years with the NFL Players Association, where she worked in licensing, business development, player services, and player marketing.
