2022 World Championship Second Most-Watched Esports Event of All-Time

The 2022 World Championship, which hosted 24 teams from around the globe, kicked off on September 29 in Mexico City and culminated on November 5 in San Francisco. While some sports fans argued that Esports would dwindle after Covid-19, viewership numbers are speaking for themselves. According to data presented by Sports Lens, with 5.1 million peak viewers, the League of Legends 2022 World Championship is the second most-watched eSports event of all time.

PCB College Baseball Classic Announced for February 2023

The PCB College Baseball Classic will be a three-day preseason tournament consisting of 16 of the top junior college baseball teams from around the country. Seven of these teams finished the 2022 season ranked in the top 20, and three players who participated in last year’s tournament were drafted within the first four rounds of the 2022 Major League Baseball Draft.

Columbus to Host 2027 Women’s Final Four

Starting from a pool of 15 cities, Columbus was selected as one of seven finalists to host the event earlier this year. Following that announcement, the Greater Columbus Sports Commission, The Ohio State University, and Nationwide Arena submitted a final bid and hosted a site visit from the NCAA in August.
